Baby Shower Made Simple + IG Worthy Venues in Quezon City

Nowadays, people love hosting and attending events, and we're one with that!

But each time we do, we don't just look for a nice venue to hold a gathering, we always make sure we provide a great experience for our guests.

I mean, it's a day of celebration, with your family and closest friends. It has to be the #bestdayever, right? But like any other parties big or small, planning one consumes a lot of time, effort, and money.

Say hello to researching venues, reviewing caterers, pinteresting decors, narrowing guests, and gift registry. Any hormonal preggo mama can just hire a planner which by the way adds cost, or simply opt out of the plan.

But wait!! A new baby is something to be celebrated with loved ones! And a baby shower is the perfect opportunity to share the news and actually spend time (while you still can) with them. Cause once the baby’s out, it’s a whole different story.

On our case, we had our gender reveal as planned and hosted by my sisters and MommyBFFs. It was supposedly Gender Reveal slash baby sprinkle in one because if we can cut corners, why not, but my friends had a different plan. I think the deciding factor was when some of the generous brands we worked for pledged gifts and whatnots for the party.

WOAH. This really needs to happen!

Cue in Jayson asking me what I wanted for my birthday. Aha! Bring out that Baby Shower checklist!

Some would opt for a venue, hire a caterer, and stylist separately. Although there are cases you can save money from that, the amount you keep isn't worth more than the time and energy you can save when booking these three all at once.

To do that, we carefully selected a cafe which can accommodate 30-50 guests, caters good food, and has superb interiors. It wasn't easy but the result was so worth it!

We found Manna&Golde, a quiet cafe across Jose Delgado Memorial Hospital where I will give birth.

I went with my friends Liz and Annie, and upon entering the place, we found what we're looking for! Not to mention the friendly and accommodating branch manager who entertained my queries and helped me do adjustments with the menu with just two days before the event.

Liz & Annie, these two have an eye for details and they took me to some of the most IG worthy places I know.

7. Other options: Air bnb or Hotel Accommodation

It doesn't have to be a 4 or 5 star hotel, as long as it's accessible for you and your guests, has accommodating staff, and amenities you can use.

This one requires a lot of time though. From naming your list, designing the cards, sending them in, and waiting for RSVP...Good thing I have Rachelle the Wondermomma to do this for me. But honestly, I can't remember how we nailed this back when we didn't know about CANVA. Only my sister Lady can tell.

Jayson wouldn't understand. But this works for both the guest of honor and friends in a way that it makes our lives easier. For the momma-to-be, it's aiding her to get useful and important baby stuff she needs; and for the guests, it's saving them from the guess work.

There are gift registries we can sign up for like Mothercare, Baby Company, The SM Store, Robinsons Department Store, Rustan's Department Store, Pottery Barn Kids, and specialty stores like The Parenting Emporium and The Nest PH.

We registered with TPE and I just love how they made it personal.

If you have someone who's good with entertaining guests, leave this up to them.

That's a a weight off our shoulders! (Thanks Rich & Issa!)

My friends would rather not to, they say I'm supposed to receive the gifts not them, but as mentioned earlier, we're blessed with brand owner friends who are so generous and kind to provide a little something for everyone so yayy!

This is our peg: A self-care essentials box.

As for what's inside? That's a surprise!!!

In between all the excitement and urgency of planning this baby sprinkle, I realized that it truly is important that we celebrate this special milestone. It doesn't have to be too elaborate and grand so long as we take pleasure in this rare occasion of celebrating motherhood with people who matter the most.

Plus, in just a matter of weeks, our world is going to revolve around a tiny human who will make us forget about the rest of the world. Let's make the most of it while we still can.

Good luck and safe delivery mamas!
